  • The middle price (third most expensive) in Gas Money was right for only the ninth time in its history and for the first time since October 15, 2014 (25 playings ago). This was also the first time ever where the car was won in Gas Money when the middle price was right.

  • That leaves Bonus Game as the only Pricing Game that premiered in Season 1 (and is still active) that has not been played at least 700 times. Bonus Game is currently at 674 playings, so it should hit 700 sometime in the next 2-3 seasons.
  • The "danger price" was the second least expensive prize in Danger Price this week. That ended a streak of 14 straight playings (dating back to June 9, 2015) where Danger Price had been set up as "don't pick the second most expensive prize".
  • It has still been a long time since the "danger price" was the least expensive prize (February 12, 2014) or the most expensive prize (June 14, 2013).

  • The cash was also placed in Box #7 for the first time since April 15, 2013. Box #7 was by far the box that had gone the longest without containing the cash. Box #6 (March 4, 2015) and Box #13 (February 7, 2014) are now the only two boxes that have not contained the cash at least once in the past two seasons.

Season 38 was the last time a season had 2 losses on the first prize. A third loss of this nature would be the most since at least Season 29.
  • Line em Up was won for the third time this season - and in all three instances the other car game played on that episode was also won (Money Game, Card Game and Dice Game). Pretty impressive, considering both car games were won on only nine episodes so far this season.

  • Since Season 29, 11 contestants have quit with $1,000 in It's in the Bag. Out of these 11 contestants, 10 made the right choice to quit because they had the $2,000 bag wrong. Only the contestant on the January 18, 2002 episode could have won more money ($2,000).

  • On Wednesday, Lucky $even became the first Pricing Game to be played 10 times this season. This is nothing new - Lucky $even was the most frequently played game in Season 43 (29 playings) and the second most frequently played game in Season 42 (35 playings) and Season 44 (29 playings).
  • The combination has now been 5-7-0 or 7-5-0 in each of the past four Safe Crackers playings, or in 5 out of the last 6.

  • Emma was $115 away from the winning range in Card Game. That is the closest loss in this game since a $64 loss on February 3, 2015.
  • The 3 of diamonds was also drawn in Card Game for the first time since October 14, 2014.
  • In order to win Time I$ Money, Jennifer had to place three grocery products on the same shelf. Previous time that's happened: May 18, 2015. Out of these 6 playings, only one contestant managed to win money (April 23, 2015 - $18,674).
  • Approximately $18,217 was won on Friday's episode, which is the least won in an episode since March 5, 2014 ($16,569). It was also only the fourth time in the past three seasons where less than $30,000 was won.
  • Double Cross was the only Pricing Game that was fully won on Friday's episode. This was the fourth time in the game's history where it saved an episode from not having a Pricing Game win. (It also occurred on August 17, 2012, January 29, 2013 and March 4, 2013.)

  • Comments for the Week of December 12-16
  • Biggest winners this week: Amber Encalade ($54,181) (December 14) and Brette Humphrey ($52,651) (December 13)
  • The grocery product games went a perfect 5-0 this week (Let 'em Roll, Pass the Buck, Pick-a-Pair, Hole in One and Now....or Then). Previous time that's happened: The week of April 20-24 in Season 37 (Check-Out, Hi Lo, Grand Game, Pick-a-Pair, Bullseye). (There have been a handful of 3-0 and 4-0 weeks in between these 5-0 weeks.)
  • 19 Pricing Games were fully won this week, which is the best result since the final week of Season 42 (also 19-11). (With a result of 21-9, the week of February 18-22 in Season 41 was the last time there was a week with 20+ Pricing Game wins.)
  • All five episodes this week featured at least one dollar spinner in a Showcase Showdown. It has been at least Season 40 since that's happened. (Season 41 did have two 5-episode streaks and a 6-episode streak, but these streaks spanned over two weeks.)
  • On Monday, 30 cents was spun in a bonus spin for the first time this season. That leaves 35 cents and two of the bonus spaces (5 and 100) as the only amounts that have not been spun in a bonus spin this season.
  • Conversely, contestants have landed on 75 cents in a bonus spin six times this season (including once this week) - which is double the next closest amount (10, 50, 55 - three times).

  • 2 for the Price of 1 was won for the first time this season and for the first time since January 11, 2016. The win snapped a six game losing streak for this game. That was the longest losing streak for this game since the end of Season 41 and the start of Season 42 (another six game losing streak.)
  • One Wrong Price was played for the tenth time, and is now tied with Lucky $even as the most frequently played game this season. This is unchartered territory for One Wrong Price - Season 41 (7th) is the closest this game has ever come to being the most frequently played. In fact, One Wrong Price has always been played less than Most Expen$ive, but right now it has a healthy 10 to 6 advantage.
  • Speaking of Most Expen$ive, the game entered the season as the most frequently played Pricing Game in daytime history (1564 playing to Double Prices' 1562). However, with Double Prices being played nine times this season compared to Most Expen$ive's six playings, Most Expen$ive has conceded this title, at least for now.
  • Should the second spinner spin again on a 60 if they have the lead? In the past four seasons, 6 out 19 contestants won when they stayed on 60, including both instances this season. • Seven out of the eight Pricing Games played for a trip were won this week. Safe Crackers was the only game that was lost.
  • On Monday, Jeffrey became the first contestant this season (and the first contestant since April 13 of last season) that failed to get their bonus spin all the way around. There has now been at least one puny spin in 8 out of the past 9 seasons. Season 41 is the only season during this span that did not have at least one invalid bonus spin.
  • Monday's episode also featured three $1.00 spinners. That's now happened twice this season (along with the three-way $1.00 spin-off). By comparison, three dollar spinners in one episode only happened once in the previous three seasons (June 26, 2014).
  • The last two numbers were found first in Money Game for the first time since January 14 of last season. Since Season 32, contestants have found the back half of the car first 8 times. In all 8 instances, the contestant wound up winning the car.
  • Money Game was also played for a $24,233 Toyota Tacoma, which was the most expensive car offered in this game since it was played for a $25,441 Ford F-150 on September 25, 2012.
  • Britanny won Bonkers despite trying the same combination twice. Previous time that's happened: March 31, 2009 (It's also the only other time it's happened since Season 32.). • After finishing last season with a 16-5 record, Range Game is continuing its winning ways with an impressive 7-1 start to the season. Not bad for a Pricing Game that was won slightly less than half of the time (48.6%) between Seasons 29 and 44.
  • Hi Lo has been played for a car 13 times since Season 29, but has only been won three times. Besides this week, the only other wins occurred on June 26, 2015 ($14,015 Mitsubishi Mirage) and February 17, 2012 ($28,000 restored 1967 Chevrolet Camaro).
  • Hi Lo also has a record of 4-0 to start the season, which is its best start since it went 8-0 to start Season 36.

  • The $4,499 television was the most expensive prize offered in Most Expen$ive since October 4, 2013 (a $4,995 pool table). The total prize package of $10,775 was also the highest since January 30, 2013 ($11,719).
  • In all six playings of Secret "X" this season, contestants have won both additional Xs. (No one has gotten a small prize wrong.) The six perfect playings is already the most since there were 9 in Season 39.
  • Secret "X" has also been won three times in playings where the hidden X was not placed in the middle row. That's already tied for the second most wins since Season 32. Only Season 33, with 5, had more top and bottom row wins. (It should also be noted that there were zero or one wins in each of the previous four seasons.)
  • Double Prices offered the most expensive prize (a $13,382 trip to Kyoto) since February 18, 2015 (a $14,239 trip to St. Thomas). It also had the largest spread between both choices ($4,111) since April 1, 2013 ($4,761).
  • The $156,314 won on Thursday's episode is the third highest total of the season, behind two episodes from Big Money Week.
  • Five cars were won on Thursday's episode (3 in Triple Play, 1 in Lucky $even, 1 in the Showcase). Previous time four cars were won in the same episode: December 21, 2015 (the previous Triple Play win). Previous time five cars were won in the same episode: September 19, 2011 (Race Game for four cars).
  • May 5, 2003 is the only other episode in daytime history where Triple Play was won, the other car game was won, and a car was won in the Showcase.
  • Triple Play was played for the third time this season. The game now has a very good chance of being played four times in a season for the first time since Season 38.
  • The $17,456 trip to Antigua was the most expensive prize offered in Push Over (excluding cars) since it was played for a $17,572 African Safari on January 18, 2013.
  • Push Over is currently 2-0 this season when played for a 5-digit prize, but 0-4 when played for a 4-digit prize. Push Over has also been played for a trip in 5 out of its 6 playings this season. (Or 10 out of 12 if you go back to May of last season.)
  • Prior to this week, hole #40 (Row 4, Column 10) was last selected in Punch a Bunch on January 29, 2013. It was the hole that had gone the third longest without being punched.
  • Hole #40 contained $10,000 the last four times it was selected (January 29, 2013, March 24, 2004, November 19, 2002 and September 26, 2002). Unfortunately, it contained a much smaller amount this time around.
  • Switch? was lost for the fourth time this season, which already matches the total number of losses it had last season when it went 23-4. It looks like Switch? has some work to do if it wants to replicate the stellar records of 21-15, 21-15, 21-13, 18-9, 22-5 and 23-4 it achieved in the previous six seasons.
  • For the second time this season, there was three perfect guesses in Lucky $even. It's only happened two other times between Seasons 30 and 44: November 14, 2002 and October 13, 2014.
  • For the first time since May 11, 2014, none of the three main prizes in Rat Race were won. It was only the second time in the game's history where a contestant won two rats and wound up picking the two rats that finished off the podium. (It also happened on May 17, 2013.)
  • Rat Race also featured the first perfect bid since December 19, 2014 and the second miss of the 3-digit in the past two seasons.
  • Balance Game has now been lost nine straight times when played for a car.
  • Friday's second Showcase, worth $49,576, was the second most expensive Showcase offered this season (behind a $52,529 Showcase offered on November 21). It resulted in a $14,576 underbid - the biggest Showcase miss so far this season.
  • Comments for the Week of December 26-30
  • Biggest winners this week:
    • Cassandra Boettcher ($102,164) - 16th biggest winner in daytime history and third $100,000+ winner this season
    • Marie Lyle ($58,357) (December 26)
    • Daniel Wiggins ($54,889) (December 27)
  • Stack the Deck and Check-Out were won for the first time this season. That leaves Check Game (0-4), Shell Game (0-1) and Time i$ Money (0-6) as the only Pricing Games without a win or a partial win this season.
  • Bonus Game was played first for the first time since June 5, 2014.
  • Kelly is the first contestant since at least Season 32 to draw four cards of the same rank in Card Game (the Jack of clubs, diamond, hearts and spades). There have been several three of a kind during this span (most recently on May 26, 2016), but no four of a kind.
  • Tuesday's Showcase featured the second most expensive Showcase offered this season ($49,726), the largest difference between Showcase values this season ($20,354) and the second largest margin of victory this season ($13,854).
  • For the first time this season, no contestant on Wednesday's episode bid $1 higher than a previous bidder in any of the six one bids.
  • One Away now has a record of 14-2 since Season 32 when contestants only get one number right on their first try. During that span, the only losses occurred on January 19, 2004 (Pontiac Vibe) and November 8, 2011 (Chevrolet Camaro).
  • The $3,000 Gucci watches, offered on Thursday's episode, are only the second $3,000+ one bid offered outside of Big Money Week this season. (The other was a $3,099 Kawasaki motorcycle offered on October 6.)
(Last season, outside of Big Money Week, no one bid exceeded $2,995.)
  • Switch? has now been lost three straight times, which is the worst slump since a four game losing streak to start Season 42.
  • So far this season, Double Prices has a record of 7-0 when the most expensive price is right, but 1-3 when the least expensive price is right. This is not a new trend. Since Season 32, Double Prices has an overall record of 131-53 (72%) when the most expensive price is right, but 104-109 (49%) when the least expensive price is right.
  • Friday's second Showcase ($38,029) had a price that ended between 000 and 250, which last occurred on June 19, 2015 ($43,243) and April 2, 2013 ($48,224). These are the only three Showcases to end between 000-250 since the start of Season 41.
